The Pet Rescue Thrift Store and Pawtique strives to turn Riverside, CA into a no-kill city by supporting local animal rescue groups and saving treatable companion animals.
The Pet Rescue Thrift Store and Pawtique was opened in 2015 after becoming increasingly aware of the shortage of havens for the homeless, at-risk companion animals of the Inland Empire. In the hopes of transitioning the Inland Empire into a no-kill community, the Pet Rescue Thrift Store and Pawtique began its work by offering support to local pet rescue groups to increase their life saving efforts. We help by connecting rescue groups to our wonderful network of foster volunteers, marketing adoptable pets, holding in-store pet adoption events, facilitating adoptions, and providing financial assistance when possible.
The Pet Rescue Thrift Store is committed to the rehabilitation and rehoming of pets who are most at risk of euthanization: the ill, injured, neonatal and elderly. We are now fortunate enough to work alongside the Riverside County Department of Animal Services to pull treatable, at-risk pets in the hopes of transitioning Riverside, CA into a no-kill city. We are proud to now offer pet adoption services for the most vulnerable, homeless pets in our community.
Since our founding in May 2015, we have already facilitated the rescue of 170 pets and counting. By donating your gently used items and shopping at the Pet Rescue Thrift Store and Pawtique, you will allow us to continue and to expand our lifesaving programs.
It is our hope that the community's support will enable us to open a rehabilitation facility for high at-risk pets. Take part and help us save lives.
